About Leadership Waterloo Region

We’re a local social profit organization passionate about the development of community leadership within Waterloo Region. We’ve seen the benefit and impact that strong leadership makes in our Region, in business, social profit and our local government as our Region continues to grow and adapt to change in industry, culture and infrastructure.

Built with the busy professional in mind, our 10-month Core Program empowers our participants to engage cross-sector, hone their skills through engaging workshops and project work. These projects with local social profit organizations provide direct and immediate benefits to the community.  In 2015, our class supported the following organizations:

  • ·         DeafBlind Ontario Services
  • ·         REEP Green Solutions
  • ·         OneROOF
  • ·         Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Centre
  • ·         Interfaith Community Counselling Centre

The intake process for our 2016 class is already underway; we are humbled by the support of businesses and organizations in Waterloo Region. This community has shown time and again it values strong leadership, and the team here at Leadership Waterloo Region is honoured to have the opportunity to prepare our Region’s emerging leaders for their roles in our community.
