Leadership Waterloo Region Class of 2010

I was personally motivated to explore community leadership through the Core Program as I wanted to develop my personal awareness of the needs
in our community and meet others with similar values and goals. I wanted to enrich my volunteer involvement from a leadership prospective.

Throughout the program, I had the privilege of working with a dynamic network of individuals who work in the planning and delivery of sustainable change. I developed an appreciation and understanding of the agencies that serve our community and the challenges they face through the community projects my class supported.

The Leadership Waterloo Region experience gave me the skills and confidence that upon graduation, I joined two social profit boards and multiple committees. The friendships and contacts I have made through the program are the greatest assets I will treasure throughout my personal and professional life. I am proud to be a member of these alumni, all leaders who contribute to the prosperity of our community.
